New Act For Musicians That Will End Almost A Century Of US Flaw Law

A new act for musicians was introduced to the Senate and the House of Representatives this week by Marsha Blackburn (R- TN) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler.

Ask Musicians For Music (AM-FM) Act of 2019 would give artists and record labels control over their music by requiring radio broadcasters to obtain your permission before playing your sound recording over the air. This would be one step closer to ending the present flaw law in US which has been in existance for almost 100 years. Should the AM-FM Act (HR.5219/S.2932) be passed, this wosuld at long last set the table for royalty rate negotiations with terrestrial radio broadcasters.

Last year the Music Modernization Act (MMA) was pushed across the finish line, now it is time to join forces again.

All music creators are required to raise their voices. Your Senators and Representative in Congress need to know that it is your right and your livelihood being valued and protected by this legislation, and you expect them to support it.
